Credits, in plain language.
Credits are the visible unit for work Ronja performs. These are the practical questions to understand before you begin.
What is a credit?
A credit is Ronja's usage unit. Credits pay for the work Ronja performs and the resources used to build, run, process, and store.
After your included credits, each additional credit costs $1.
What uses credits?
Credits are used when Ronja performs work for you, including:
- Building or changing data apps, automations, and other reusable assets
- Working with Ronja through chat or the CLI
- Running automations, refreshing data, and executing queries
- Processing and storing data
Credit consumption also depends on the AI model used. More capable models may use more credits, while faster, more cost-efficient models use fewer. Ronja is model agnostic, so you can choose the right balance of capability, speed, and cost for each task.

You receive 100 credits when you sign up, so you can connect your data, try Ronja, and start building before purchasing more.
After that, choose inside Ronja how many credits to add based on how you use it. There is no mandatory credit package.
Can I add more credits at any time?
Yes. Purchase additional credits inside Ronja whenever you need them.
You can also enable optional automatic top-ups, choose when they happen, and set the spending limits and alerts they must follow.
What happens when credits run low?
You can set balance warnings and decide what Ronja should do when credits are running low:
- Notify specific users
- Automatically purchase more credits
- Switch appropriate work to more cost-efficient AI models
- Pause selected automations or other non-critical activity
Automatic top-ups are optional and can be changed or disabled at any time.

No. Your credits remain available until you use them.
Can I use Ronja through the CLI?
Yes. Ronja can be used through its web interface or the Ronja CLI.
If you already work with tools such as Claude Code, you can use that environment and subscription to build, inspect, and change things in Ronja. Everything created through the CLI remains available to the rest of your organization in Ronja.

A tailored engagement can include implementation, system integrations, data architecture, custom apps and automations, governance, cost controls, and ongoing operational support.

- Taxes
- Prices exclude VAT and other applicable taxes. Taxes are calculated from your billing details and added at checkout where required.
- Refunds
- Platform fees and purchased credits are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started or credits have been used. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us and we will review the charge.
